Since August 2004, SDM's has been providing a support group for moms in and around the South Dayton area including Centerville, Kettering, Miamisburg, Springboro, Beavercreek, Franklin, Fairborn and Miami Twp. Our children currently range from a few months of age to 8 years of age. In addition to sharing stories, thoughts, and ideas via message boards and online chats, we actively participate in playgroups and field trips.
During the winter/ colder months our playgroups are scheduled at the convienance of our members based on the accomodations they can provide and only as often as the oppertunity to host a playgroup presents itself. Between preschool schedules, doctors appointments and the many other activities moms are involved in its not as often this time of year.We do however, use this time to visit local museums, Boonshoft, WPAFB, Bounce U, or anything that any member suggests we do.
The cold season is a little slower paced for us here at SDM's, afterall there is Thanksgiving and Christmas, family visits and vacations are common this time of year. We may go a couple weeks without seeing each other however, we always catch up with each other Moms Night Out events. We always have at at least one or two of those on the calender every month. We also try to get together around all the holidays. We have an annual Easter Egg Hunt, a Halloween Party, a Christmas Party, and we try to have Thanksgiving Dinner together
Spring and Summer is our most active time especially for our kids. We frequent local parks,celebrate birthdays and in home playgroups become routine. As well as SDM family potlucks and Bunco!
Our organized message boards allow easy planning of all our activities. We have alot to offer the mom and child who is serious about getting out of the house, making friends,socializing her children and having fun. If this is you, we invite you to join our group!
